The Tertön Sogyal Foundation's Board of Directors  is responsible for the governance of the foundation. It operates the Foundation including fundraising, accounting and complying with all the regulatory requirements of being a 501(c)(3). The assets of the foundation are managed by the Investment Committee under the Rigpa Endowment.

Bios 

Pedro Beroy has been a Rigpa student for the last seventeen years. He is currently a partner of AP Structured Finance. Prior to his current role, Pedro spent sixteen years at Credit Suisse in the Investment Banking Division with diverse responsibilities in trading, structuring and sales. He was a Managing Director based in New York and a member of the Fixed Income Operating Committee. Pedro headed Credit Suisse's global fixed income activities in the Longevity Markets Group. Prior to that role, Pedro was responsible for the Latin America Structuring and Coverage Group. Pedro holds a Master in Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona. He is the president of the Tertön Sogyal Foundation a member of the Rigpa International Investment Board and a member of the Rigpa Endowment Investment Committee.

Bruce E. Whitacre has studied Tibetan Buddhism for over twenty-five years as a student and an instructor in Rigpa. He was on the Board of the Tenzin Gyatso Institute, a retreat center in Upstate New York, for nearly ten years and has completed a number of retreats in the US and Europe. He was the Executive Director of Theatre Forward, which advances American Theatre and its communities through philanthropic and sponsorship programs, since 2002 and which represents 19 outstanding resident theatres and is supported by over 40 corporations and firms. Prior to Theatre Forward, Bruce was Managing Director of New York’s Signature Theatre Company for four seasons. He began his career in theatre in the Script Department of Manhattan Theatre Club. His corporate experience includes accounting, budgeting and administration in the publishing and banking industries, as well as a three-year stint with the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome, Italy. He holds an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Dan Schuessler was a founding partner of Bayswater Asset Management, a San Francisco based Alternative Asset Management firm. Prior to co-founding Bayswater, Mr Schuessler was Director of Hedge Funds at Mellon Capital Management (MCM). From 1998 to 2002, he served as MCM's Global Strategist. From 1996 to 1997, he was a Global Asset Allocation portfolio manager. Earlier in his investment career, from 1991 to 1995, Mr Schuessler worked for Smith Breeden Associates as a Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) & Derivatives trader and portfolio manager, where he also served as Chief Investment Officer for a closely held financial institution. Mr Schuessler received an A.B. in Mathematics from Brown University in 1987 and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 1991.
